Legacy Indoor Soccer Rules

* Registrations submitted after the deadline may be rejected.

ROSTER LIMITS AND RULES:

REGISTRATION:

Registration will be done on a team basis through the league’s online registration

system at LegacySportsClub.com. An initial deposit as determined by the league is

required to accept the registration. All league fees must be paid in full by the deadline

set by Legacy Sports Club.

House teams (individually registered players organized by Legacy Sports Club into a

team) may be formed at the discretion of the league.

• Team rosters must be completed and submitted by the third game.

• Each team may roster up to 12 players, and must carry a minimum of 10 players. A

maximum of ONLY 12 players may dress for each game.

• All players must sign a waiver and release of liability for participating; this may be

completed through online registration. Any team that fields a player who has not

completed the online registration and waiver will forfeit that match.

• LAST DAY TO CHANGE YOUR ROSTER: A roster “freeze” date (in which teams

may no longer add new players to their rosters for that season) is set for and no team

will be allowed to add new players after the 3rd match.

*Legacy Sports Club reserves the right to place teams in appropriate division

according to past performance in league play.

DIVISION REQUIREMENTS AND *PLAYOFF QUALIFICATIONS:

U10 Boys Division:

Youth division for boys under 10.

U10 Girls Division:

Youth division for girls under 10.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

U12 Girls Division:

Youth division for girls under 12.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

U12 Boys Division:

Youth division for boys under 12.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

U14 boys Division:

Youth division for boys under 14.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

U14 girls Division:

Youth division for girls under 14.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

High School Competitive Division:

A competitive league for high school players. This league is ideal for Varsity or JV

soccer players.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

High School Recreational Division:

A recreational league for high school players. This league is ideal for JV, freshman, or

new soccer players.

*The top two teams in the division advance to championship match.

Adult A Competitive Division:

The most competitive option available for competitive players. The league is open for

players age 18 and older.

Adult B Recreational Division:

A recreational league for those who wish to play a at a recreational level.

*The top two teams in the division advance to the championship match. (Depending on number of teams in division)

Adult C Social Division:

The adult C division is a league strictly for players that are looking to play for fun. This

is a great league for those who have little to no prior playing experience.

*This division has no playoffs or finals.

Women’s Competitive:

A women’s only competitive league.

*Top two teams advance to the finals

Women’s Social:

A women’s only social league for players looking to play for fun.

*There are no finals in this division.

Standings for the competitive and recreational leagues will be posted weekly. Scoring for the standings is as follows:

3 points for team win

1 point for team tie

0 points for team loss

Standings Tie Breaker

#1: Head-to-head play

#2: Goal differential (an upper limit of 6 goals differential will be restricted for each match)

#3: Goals against #4: Goals for
#5: Most shutouts #6: Most wins

Prior to each match:

• All managers must provide complete players roster to verify a member status within

the team; those unable to do so are prohibited from competing in that match.

A copy submitted to Legacy and copy with team manager

• Guest players are prohibited; only players appearing on the team’s official roster and

having signed the waiver and release of liability are eligible to participate.

• Teams found to have utilized guest players in a match will forfeit the match in question

by a 0-3 score and may be subject to further league discipline.

UNIFORMS:

• Teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms/t-shirts. Players on each team

MUST wear matching t-shirts or jerseys (not just same color, same t-shirt). Teams are

encouraged to purchase reversible jerseys or two sets of shirts (light and dark) to

manage uniform color conflicts.

No equipment will be provided by Legacy Sports Club (Pinnies, Balls, Gloves,

Etc.)

• Each player must have his/her own shirt or jersey.

• Trading shirts during substitutions is prohibited.
• Matching shorts and socks are encouraged but are not required.

• The League Director will have final say on what constitutes a uniform.

• No jewelry of any kind may be worn during game play.

• A team failing to have all of its players wearing matching uniforms/t-shirts can still play

the game with the consent of their opponent, but the team will forfeit the match by a 0-3

score.

EQUIPMENT:

• All players must wear shin guards. Soccer cleats are NOT permitted. Tennis, turf,

indoor, or artificial grass shoes are allowed on the indoor fields.

• Hard casts and braces are subject to the referee’s approval; if permitted, they must be

covered and padded to the referee’s discretion.

OFFICIAL LEAGUE RULES:

• All play will be governed by FIFA Laws of the Game with the following modifications:

Match Length:

• 50 minutes in length (two x 25 minute halves)

• 2 minute half-time

• Any match that must declare a winner (quarterfinal, semifinal or championship

matches) that end in regulation in a tie will proceed directly to FIFA Kicks from the Mark;

only players on the field at the end of regulation are eligible to participate.

• Any game reaching half time may be declared a completed game if it is suspended

due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• All matches abandoned due to weather or other circumstances will be reviewed to

determine whether the result stands, it should be replayed in its entirety, resumed at the

point of suspension or declared a forfeit.

Minimum Number of Players:

• Teams must have at least five (5) players to begin the match.

• The clock begins when the referee signals the start of the match; teams with fewer

than five players have a 15-minute grace period before the match is forfeited. Forfeited

matches result in a 0-3 score.

Clock will start on the hour scheduled. All team must be present and be ready to

walk out to play on the hour scheduled.

Legacy Sports Club Facility Rules:

• ABSOLUTELY NO BAGS/COATS/CLOTHES/Etc. on team/player benches.

• Food/beverages, gum and sports drinks are prohibited from being consumed on the

turf fields; only water is permitted on the field.

• Only players and coaches allowed on the fields (between the lines); spectators should

remain off the playing field.

2 Coaches per team, which includes a player-coach. No girlfriends, boyfriends,

children or spectators allowed at player bench.

• Multiple matches may be in play at both Legacy Sports Club buildings; players,

coaches and spectators should be vigilant and aware of the action around them.

• Indoor/Turf shoes are permitted, but should be clean of any dirt before using them on

turf; NO CLEATS ARE PERMITTED.

• All participants and spectators are expected to keep their areas clean of any garbage

(water bottles, tape, etc).

Parking:

• Parking is available at both Legacy Sports Club buildings as well as on the side of

Building #2.

• Follow parking flow signs in and out of facility.
• Park only in designated spaces at Legacy Sports Club.
