Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a seasonal or year-long commitment?
Joining Legacy Blaze FC is a year-long commitment covering the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. We believe year-round consistency is vital for player development and team chemistry. By accepting a roster spot, players are committing to the full annual cycle.
What is the travel commitment for Academy teams (8U–10U)?
We prioritize a balanced schedule for our younger athletes. Travel is limited to four tournaments per year (two in the Fall, two in the Spring). These events are specifically selected from the Indianapolis Area to keep travel manageable for families.
What is the travel commitment for older Blaze teams?
Most Blaze Travel teams compete within the Indiana Soccer League (ISL), with games typically within a 1–2 hour radius. Our Blaze Premier teams may compete in the Midwest Conference (MWC), which represents the elite regional tier of US Youth Soccer. These teams may participate in showcases and regional play requiring travel to neighboring states.
When will we receive our practice and game schedules?
Specific days and times are released prior to the start of each seasonal block.

Fall & Spring: Focused on outdoor league play and tournaments.
Winter: Focused on indoor technical training and scrimmages at Legacy Sports Park.
Summer: Off-season, with optional camps and clinics available.
What is the weekly time commitment?
Generally, Blaze Travel players can expect the following:

Practices: Two to three mandatory training sessions per week (usually 90 minutes each).

Games: One league game on most weekends during the active season.

Tournaments: 2–4 weekends per year, which may involve multiple games between Saturday and Sunday.
Why is winter training important?
Winter training is a key part of our coaching philosophy. The fast-paced, small-sided environment helps players develop quick decision-making, creativity, and composure under pressure. Over the next five months, players who commit to training will see significant growth.
When will I know who my child’s coach is?
Coaches are officially confirmed and assigned to specific teams shortly after the tryout process is complete. While we aim to provide a tentative coaching slate beforehand, final assignments depend on the number of players, the number of teams formed at each age level, and the competitive tier of each group. This ensures every team is paired with a coach who best fits their developmental needs.
What new training opportunities are being offered?
We are expanding our training options to include: Speed & agility training (details coming soon) Goalkeeper-specific sessions (details coming soon) Small group technical training (details coming soon)
Are there additional resources for player development?
Yes, we will begin incorporating sports nutrition and sports psychology resources by the end of the year to support well-rounded player development. We’re excited to see you on the field and can’t wait to watch you grow as part of the Blaze Soccer Club. Let’s ignite the game together!
What programs do you offer during the summer months?
We provide a variety of high-energy opportunities designed to keep players sharp and developing during the off-season. Our summer lineup includes:
Technical Skills Camps: Focused sessions on footwork, ball control, and finishing. Small-Sided Tournaments: Fast-paced games that maximize touches and decision-making.
College Recruitment Seminars: Workshops for high school athletes to navigate the scouting process.
Elite Fitness & Conditioning: Specialized training to ensure players return for the fall season in peak physical form.
Are summer programs open to non-members?
Yes. While our full-season teams are the core of our club, we welcome players from across the region to participate in our summer camps and clinics. It’s a great way to experience our premier coaching and facilities without the full-year commitment.
What exactly does the membership fee cover?
Our membership cost is "all-inclusive," meaning there are no hidden surprises mid-season. Your fee covers: Training Costs, Tournament Fees, and League Fees.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes. To ensure elite soccer remains accessible for all families, we offer flexible payment plan options. You can choose to pay in full at the start of the season or spread the costs over several monthly installments.
What were the membership costs and payment structures for the previous season?
Please note that the following rates reflect the 2025/26 season and are provided for historical reference. Fees for the upcoming season are subject to change.

Pre Academy (7U-8U): $750 Total
($150 Deposit + 10 payments of $60/mo)

Academy (9U-10U): $1,000 Total
($150 Deposit + 10 payments of $85/mo)

Development (11U-12U): $1,500 Total
($200 Deposit + 10 payments of $130/mo)

Junior (13U-14U): $1,750 Total
($200 Deposit + 10 payments of $155/mo)

High School (15U-19U): $1,100 Total
($200 Deposit + 10 payments of $90/mo)
What are the volunteering requirements?
Each family is required to volunteer 7 hours per year or pay a $100 opt-out fee. Opportunities include team management, event support, and facility assistance.
How can parents get involved in fundraising?
Club fundraisers help support scholarships and programs. Stay tuned for upcoming campaigns and ways to participate.
What is the uniform process?
Detailed ordering information will be provided once rosters are finalized. Legacy Blaze FC operates on a two-year uniform cycle to help manage costs for families.

Note for 2026/27: Because we are mid-cycle, existing players will not be required to purchase new uniforms for the 2026/27 season. New players will receive instructions on how to order their required kit.
What is the main difference between Legacy Blaze FC and Legacy Futbol League?
The primary difference is the level of competition and commitment.

Legacy Futbol League is our grassroots program for non-Blaze members, focusing on basic skills and social play without the pressure of travel or tryouts. Players from any club or organization are welcome and will participate in one training session per week plus Saturday games. For those looking for more action, optional Futsal games are also available.

Legacy Blaze FC is our competitive "travel" club. It is designed for players who want professional coaching, a higher level of competition against other Indiana clubs, and a year-round training environment.
Does my child need to try out for both?
No.

Legacy Futbol League is open registration—anyone can sign up and play.

Legacy Blaze FC is a tryout-based program. Players must attend annual tryouts in June and be invited to join a roster.
What is the difference in travel and time commitment?
Legacy Futbol League sessions and games take place entirely at Legacy Sports Park. There is no travel involved, and the commitment is season-to-season (e.g., just Fall or just Spring).

Legacy Blaze FC is a year-long commitment. Teams train multiple times a week and travel to play other clubs in the Indiana Soccer League (ISL) and regional tournaments.
Where can I find the Parent Policy Handbook?
The handbook will be shared with all families electronically. It includes key policies on attendance, conduct, sideline behavior, and the chain of communication for questions or concerns.
Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?
Yes. We believe financial constraints should never prevent a player from developing. We are currently finalizing a scholarship program that will cover a percentage of club fees for families under a specific maximum Household Income (HHI). To support the club’s operations, scholarship recipients will participate in a volunteer program where every 1 hour of service equals $15 toward tuition. Specific expectations and eligibility details are currently being finalized and will be released soon.
